It’s springtime in Seattle and that means TULIPS in Skagit County. I’ve lived in the PNW for almost four years now and I’ve never seen the tulips so Una and I figured it was about time. While we were up north near Mount Vernon, we ventured over to Deception Pass and got a few shots of that masterpiece as well. Check out the results:

This weekend, I photo’d the Tersieff family — Mark, Kimmy, little Lulu and Levi and baby-to-come Ila. Such a sweet family. Here are a few early favorites…

More to come!

I really do photograph more than once every 2 years, just so you know, but my old school Powerbook kicked the bucket about a year ago and it’s been worrysome to try and photo + post produce stuff until I could afford to some new toys. New MacBook Pro in hand and I’m ready to go.

This week, we were in Isla Mujeres, Mexico celebrating our family Christmas. It was a gorgeous place for updated family photos!! Check out the results.

Happy Yule, ya’ll!

Last weekend, Mama Jen and her lovely little Addi headed to Grasslawn Park to take some photos for her impact on We Impact. Here are some of the resulting photos.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to hang out with my friend Jack. He needed some help coming up with a quippy, quirky bio for a wedding he’s best manning next year and I was delighted when he called me. The contents of the bio are top secret at this point, but we took some photos to accompany the bio, which I think turned out quite well.

This weekend was filled with a few dozen great friends, a bunch of new photos, and ended at Seattle Center enjoying the delicacies of the Bite of Seattle. It was a great great time. Here are some of the photos.

A while back my friend Heather agreed to join me on a photo walk around downtown Kirkland, WA. We had a bunch of fun scoping out the sights for future photo shoots. Edited using some of Dustin Steller’s Lightroom Presets.

I met Crystal about a year after I moved to Seattle and as a fellow Texan, I loved her immediately. Jonathan, a Washington native, is such a great match for my Texas friend and when they tied the knot in November 2008, I was honored to be a part of it.

To be clear, this was the first wedding I ever shot, and oh my goodness, it was a lot of work. They ultimately tasked me with capturing the moment of the event and mixing up the traditional photos you see coming out of weddings. A hefty task, no doubt.

Thank you both for taking a chance on me and for letting me be part of your special day!! I love ya’ll!!

A few months ago, I shot my friend Bethany’s engagement photos. She needed them shot on the fly so we walked around downtown Kirkland and had a little fun.

She and her fiance Scott were truly a joy to be around. They kissed and laughed and loved each other so vibrantly in front of my camera. I can only imagine that their life together will hold much of the same – vibrant love and infectious laughter.

Congratulations you two. I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart.
